Stable Star Coldy in Retirement
The old stable star Cold Start has finally been retired after what could only be described as one hell of a career with plenty of highlights to distinguish him as a horse full of heart and full of determination. His bold front running style and unique toughness will surely be missed by not only his adoring owners, but also racing fans from all over the globe.
Some of his greatest achievements in his long career that range from 1200m up to placings over 2400m in black type events where two consecutive 3rd's in the 2006 and 2007 Caloundra Cups, a near miss at winning the Ipswich Cup when he ran 2nd by the shortest of margins, a 2nd in a Coffs Harbour Cup and not to forget his most memorable run in the Stayers Cup at Rosehill when he led the field by up to 25 lengths to only be run down by the eventual Brisbane Cup winner in finishing 2nd.
In a carreer spanning over 100 race starts he achieved the amazing stats of 14 race wins and a total prizmemoney of $ 391,905.
Coldy we Salute You and enjoy a well deserved and comfortable retirement you truely will be missed.
